Education and Continuing Education
To stay current with the newest and most effective orthodontic treatments available, I attend the major meetings of the AAO and NESO, and participate in courses through the New York Dental Society. While these meetings and courses are mandatory for state licensure, I believe they are an integral aspect of my goal to provide the best care to my patients.

Outside the Office
A native of Naguabo, Puerto Rico, I now reside in Demarest, NJ, with my husband and our two beautiful soccer-crazed sons. We also have a Guinea pig, a Leopard gecko, and a coral fish tank to keep the boys entertained. Most of my day-to-day free time is spent at soccer games and practices, but when we get the chance, we love going on family vacations. If I can find a quiet moment, I also enjoy reading.
Dr. Duarte is a board-certified orthodontist from Havana, Cuba, with over a decade of experience. She enjoys transforming smiles as well as takes a personalized approach to treatment, working closely with each patient to develop a customized treatment plan that meets their unique needs. Dr. Duarte earned her DDS from Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine, and completed her orthodontic residency through Montefiore Medical Center, Department of Dentistry.
Outside of work, Dr. Duarte loves traveling to visit friends in different parts of the world, especially Madrid. She enjoys immersing herself in new cultures and experiencing all that each destination has to offer.
